Forged: Men's Ministry

Men's Forged is a men’s ministry at First Street Church. The mission of the Men’s Ministry is to grow in faith, become spiritual leaders, and build community. This ministry exists to provide opportunities for men to fellowship, serve, and grow in their faith.

Whether it be through our weekly meetings or other events; we are working together to build up each other by encouraging one another on our walk with Christ.

While it is important to have a solid foundation of faith, we cannot neglect our growth in faith. Growth requires that we intentionally and consistently invest ourselves in the following:

- Prayer
- Reading the Bible
- Fellowship and service with other Christians (in Church or elsewhere)
- Worship

What is a spiritual leader? A spiritual leader is someone who leads by example. He or she serves others, sacrifices for them, and motivates people to be the best versions of themselves. Spiritual leaders are not afraid of challenges or hard work; they understand that when you help someone else succeed, you have succeeded as well.

A man's role in the church is one of great importance—it's time for men to step up and be accountable for their actions! Men need to lead by example so that other men will follow suit on being better husbands and fathers at home, good employees at work (whether part-time or full-time), responsible community members in society at large...and as friends/brothers/fathers/husbands.

Building community is an important part of growing as a Christian. It's a great place to grow spiritually, relationally, personally and professionally.

We hope you’re inspired to take a step toward making your own mission statement. It doesn’t have to be something lofty, but it can be a great way to put your goals into words and make them tangible. Take some time out of your day to reflect on what matters most in life and then try writing down some key points that will help guide you through rough patches in the future.
